After establishing dedicated Nordstrom spaces for women, Nike is launching its first menswear shop in the department store's New York location

Sneakers and athleisure are two popular items within menswear, and compose a space that retailer Nordstrom is looking to tap via its current partnership with Nike: The two brands are partnering to give the sneaker maker a new space in the department store's West 57th St. flagship in New York City.

The Nordstrom X Nike space is the first for men, with six locations in the women's section across Nordstrom stores in Toronto, Chicago, Seattle, Vancouver and Los Angeles. The space will rotate through various Nike products and styles, as well as featuring other items from names like Stone Island, Givenchy, Calvin Klein and more. As part of the debut collection, Nike re-released several popular sneakers, including the React Element 87, the atmos x Nike Air Max2 Light and the Blazer Mid ’77.

“This is not another fitness-only shop, or straight sneaker destination. We hope that this is a place where men come to discover unexpected product, find inspiration and take their personal style to the next level,” said Olivia Kim, Vice President of Creative Projects at Nordstrom tells Hyperbeast.
