Nestle is using AI to customize sake and candy pairings in a popup experience for the annual Craft Sake Week

In Japan, the candy company Nestle is highlighting its variety of Kit Kat flavors with a popup bar. This concept shop will feature an array of the chocolate bar's flavors and sake for customers to pair them with.

The shop will use artificial intelligence to help determine the pairing to fit customer tastes. The AI will ask customers a series of five questions to establish a palate profile before generating a selection of fifteen different pairings, which include Kit Kat flavors like matcha, wasabi and purple sweet potato.

This popup experience will be a feature of the Craft Sake Week, an annual event in Tokyo, Japan for eleven days and will feature a rotating selection of ten curated sake labels. This concept popup is not the first time that Kit Kat has been featured at this event, as last year the candy debuted its own bar.
