Mobile ecommerce app Dote recently launched a 'Shopping Party" feature, livestream interactive videos aimed at recreating the experience of shopping with friends where viewers can watch influencers browse apparel

Mobile shopping platform Dote is expanding its app to put social media influencers at the forefront. Dote created a feature called a Shopping Party, a live stream where influencers can share their online shopping experiences with viewers on the platform.

Influencers will go live on the Shopping Party, browse and discuss their finds with everyone viewing the stream. To kick off the new platform, Dote will be hosting two Shopping Parties every hour from 6am to 10pm PST for two weeks. Dote also has plans to create sponsored Shopping Parties with specific brands.

This feature is designed to be mutually beneficial for the app as well as influencers: While Dote will have the ability to advertise across several platforms, influencers will get the chance to connect with their audiences in a more engaging and interactive way. Dote founder and CEO Lauren Farleigh comments, “With Shopping Party, we’ve created a first-of-its-kind, immersive shopping experience that provides all the benefits of e-commerce, but in an engaging way you can enjoy with friends.”
