The pharmacy is further expanding its brick-and-mortar services to offer store customers package pick up and delivery at 8,000 locations

Most customers go to the pharmacy for last-minute necessities and medication retrieval. Walgreens is hoping to drive more traffic into its stores if customers can also pick up and drop off packages at their neighborhood locations, a service made possible through the retailer's partnership with Narvar delivery service.

At the Narvar Concierge network, which will be available in over 8,000 Walgreens across the country, customers can pick up and return packages from any number of different brands and outlets. There will even be FedEx OnSite at these Walgreens locations to help with return packaging.

Nordstrom is also piloting this new pick-up and drop-off service in Los Angeles. The idea is to increase the strength and draw of the brick-and-mortar stores while facilitating everyday needs for customers. “Customers are continuing to redefine value and convenience, and this is another way in which we can provide a differentiated retail experience, by offering more simple and time-saving solutions,” said Alex Gourlay, Co-COO of Walgreens Boots Alliance and President of Walgreens says in a statement.
