In efforts to help smaller retailers enhance their customer support, CallJoy's suite of features and tools offers call services like directing clients to assistance and filtering spam

Google is launching a platform that will help small businesses establish phone services, carrying out tasks like collecting caller information and weeding out spam. After its launch period, CallJoy will also help retailers when it comes to their needs for making and receiving calls.

For $39 a month, CallJoy will be able to record, transcribe and encrypt incoming calls, as well as record client information, direct callers to the right service, block spam calls—and also gives the business in question a local number. The service is designed to help businesses get closer to their callers by streamlining the process of connecting with a real person rather than attempting to have an entire conversation with a chatbot.

CallJoy also provides insights for its users, including analytics like call volume, peak call hours and new as opposed to return callers. As today's customers expect increasingly personalized service, having a call center to provide support along the path to purchase and after is paramount, something Google hopes to help businesses provide. CallJoy is currently on an invitation-only basis but will be open to the public in the near future.
