The digital banking service is hosting an experiential popup in the U.K. capital's Covent Garden, inviting members to shop merch from digital-first brands like ASOS, Swoon and more

As more fast-fashion retailers embrace buy-now, pay later schemes, financial services startup Klarna is hoping to give its brand partners more brick-and mortar-opportunity: The Swedish digital banking service is offering an interactive popup in London that provide online shoppers the exclusive chance to interact with their favorite brands in person.

The popup will feature products from popular online-only retailers such as ASOS, Beauty Bay, Cambridge Satchel Company, Finery, Schuh and Swoon. There will also be styling experts on hand, ticketed events and free beauty treatments throughout. The idea is to connect customers with these brands in a fun and quirky way, encouraging sales as well as customer loyalty. Klarna, of course, acts as a way for customers to pay for these latest and greatest products either in installments or the full sum.

“Whilst we believe payments should be smooth, we also believe the overall shopping experience should be inspiring so consumers can put together creative looks that are fun and affordable. With retailers facing increasing pressure to acquire, retain and convert customers, we wanted to show how creating positive consumer experiences is the real secret to success and building loyalty,” Luke Griffiths, GM of Klarna U.K., said in a statement.
