The hotel, slated to open May 15, will offer diners the chance to experience NYC's international variety like the Halal Guys and Earl of Sandwich in a reference to the TWA's global reach

The TWA Hotel, a recently opened accommodations space inside JFK International Airport's terminal once dedicated to the now-defunct Trans World Airline, is adding a host of New York City staple chains to its list of food choices.

Visitors to the hotel will have the chance to taste the likes of the Halal Guys, Empanada Mama, Fresh&Co, Playa Bowls and Earl of Sandwich. TWA Hotel has tables and chairs available in the eatery wing so customers can grab and go as well as stop and enjoy. The menus for this eclectic new food court will be available on the Fooda app for customers to browse before ordering, and more NYC-based options are slated to appear in the future.

This amenity is a salut to TWA’s past: “Trans World Airlines had a reputation for serving the best meals in the air,” said Tyler Morse, CEO and managing partner of MCR/MORSE Development, in a press release email to PSFK. “We are continuing that tradition by bringing guests the essential New York City food bucket list all in one spot.
