The alcohol maker is bringing its brand history to life with a London restaurant that features pouring rain and simulated thunder

Alcohol company Kraken Rum is reimagining the dining experience while bringing the brand's name to life. At a London popup restaurant running for a few nights this July, guests will have the opportunity to dine in the middle of a simulated Caribbean storm.

Diners will understand the brand's roots with Dine in a Perfect Storm, an immersive environment that includes pouring rain and rolling thunder. Dinner service begins when the ship reaches the eye of the storm. The menu options are all jet black, including nori rolls, squid ink linguini and black garlic gnocchi.

Tickets come with a waterproof jacket and, at £25, are a steal for an experience that includes dinner and a show, plus four cocktails. After all, not many restaurants will combine torrential rain and high winds with a meal. Instead of the brand explaining the history of the rum, customers can find out for themselves in simulated dining experience.
