As the popularity of dairy alternatives continues to rise, New Milk is dedicated to cutting down on packaging and using sustainable delivery to reach customers in the U.K.

As customers begin to demand healthy and sustainable alternatives for animal products, a startup milk brand called New Milk has popped up to fill the void. With it comes a line of vegan products and a more sustainable delivery method.

New Milk opened last week in the U.K., offering locally made varieties of milk like coconut, almond and oat. But what sets this startup apart is its zero-waste delivery method, which will revive the strategy that was last used by milkmen in the days before plastic.

After noticing a problem with the amount of waste produced by vegan milk products, the founders of New Milk decided to rethink both the wholesale and the DTC delivery process. With that goal in mind, the brand created a use-and-return model that allows sellers, like grocery stores, to collect and reuse the bottles after the milk is gone.

The brand is now planning to offer home delivery within the next few months, meaning that consumers can completely skip the store and instead have their milk delivered straight to their door. Like the best sustainable products, New Milk makes sustainability a priority while refusing to sacrifice convenience.
