Manhattan's buzziest neighborhood gets its very own location of the cult-favorite cycling studio, which opened inside the brand-new Equinox Hotel

Hudson Yards is home to some of the most exciting retail concepts to emerge in New York City in a while, and love it or hate it, the neighborhood-cum-shopping center is here to stay. And thanks to a brand-new, two-floor SoulCycle flagship, there might never be a reason to leave the massive development.

SoulCycle, the cult-favorite exercise phenomenon, is no stranger to Manhattan. The new space, located inside the brand-new Equinox Hotel, is the 21st location in the city and the 94th overall. With an airy entry, a cozy studio and fully-equipped locker rooms, the brand makes the most of a hole-in-the-wall location.

With a prime location just steps from the Vessel, SoulCycle stands out with a street-facing light installation and a soaring reception area. The studio itself is a temple to fitness, with dozens of bikes fit into a dark room that features a booming sound system and plenty of lighting effects. It's a space that feels cozy, but never cramped.

Upstairs, an open locker room leads cyclers to the bathrooms, which come stocked with essentials like deodorant, hair products and body lotion. Spotless showers and towels—practically a necessity at SoulCycle—are on-hand as well. Although the entire location should feel small, the studio manages to avoid many of the pratfalls that usually come with low square footage.

SoulCycle's newest location is a testament to the brand's success and an effective use of space. Because of its prime location at the base of Hudson Yards' fitness-focused hotel, it's almost guaranteed to be a hit. And thanks to a clever use of space, experiential fitness and thoughtful design touches, SoulCycle Hudson Yards will most likely warrant repeat visits.
