The online sake portal introduces U.S. consumers to the Japanese drink by enabling English language-friendly discovery, personalized search and direct-to-door delivery

Tippsy, a new direct-to-consumer sake subscription service, is bringing authentic Japanese sake brands to customers internationally. The monthly box consists of three ten-ounce bottles of sake delivered straight to members’ front doors, directly from Japan, as well as a user experience friendly to customers who can't read Japanese, guiding shoppers to recommended products based on personal preferences.

With over a  dozen flavor profiles offered, Tippsy currently has 200 sakes available, many of which are labels that are exclusive to the service itself. The box will also come with a detailed tasting card for every bottle to help educate customers on their drink. Along with creating a feeling of exclusivity with these unique labels, Tippsy is also enabling streamlined distribution that brings sake directly from Japan to American consumers in a way that has been difficult because of alcohol-related restrictions.

In addition to subscribing to a monthly delivery, customers can also shop for individual purchases on the service's site, as well as create mix-and-match boxes. Tippsy's goal is to create an easy and approachable way for sake fans in the United States to get their authentic fix while also offering a culturally educational experience.
