The luxury auto brand's 'Galleries and Lairs' service creates high-design environments like garages for customers to optimize their car storage and display

Aston Martin owners who have a particular fondness for their cars now have a new way to indulge their passion. Aston Martin Automotive Galleries and Lairs is a new specialty design service catering to customers who want to build a space around their Aston Martin car(s), and what it offers goes far beyond pimping out a garage.

The program was debuted at the 2019 Pebble Beach Concours, one of the world's top events for collectors of historic, rare and generally extremely expensive automobiles. The goal is to deliver spaces to clients that seamlessly incorporate Aston Martin's design style and technical knowledge.

Imagine a home or luxury retreat built around your car,” said Aston Martin Chief Creative Officer, Marek Reichman, in a press release. “Picture creating the ultimate space to showcase your own automotive works of art. This is now achievable with this new offering. For the car enthusiast the garage is as important as the rest of the house and a bespoke auto gallery designed by Aston Martin that either focuses on showing off the car or is part of a larger, integrated entertainment space with simulators and such like, takes Aston Martin ownership to the next level.”

Aston Martin Automotive Galleries and Lairs is run through Q by Aston Martin, the marque's bespoke personalization service. Clients get the opportunity to work with the Aston Martin Design Team and renowned architects who can assist with designing for local conditions as well as adding their own style touch to a project. The same team has already completed a range of architectural projects including interiors for the 66-story Aston Martin Residences in Miami, the House of Aston Martin brand showroom in Aoyama, Tokyo and numerous global dealerships.

Aston Martin cars are sought after for their beauty, and this influences each project's approach in a similar way to how an art collector might want a space to house their collection. “Aston Martin has decades of expertise in staging cars in order to present them at their absolute best but also understands the importance of storage and maintenance of these living, breathing machines,” said Aston Martin Partnerships Director, Sebastien Delmaire. “Automotive Galleries can even be designed to fit the era if a customer has a heritage car. We are able to cover every requirement, whether it is to display single cars as pieces of automotive art or a full collection of cars in a private museum. These spaces provide an opportunity for people to create their own unique world where they can share their passion for cars with their guests.”

To show off some potential spacial ideas, Aston Martin collaborated with German architects obermoser arch-omo zt gmbh to develop an underground lair concept to house an Aston Martin Valhalla and iconic Aston Martin DB5. It looks perfectly suited as a retreat for James Bond, being a serious Aston Martin fan himself.
