With a focus on openness and accountability, these companies are using the power of the blockchain to keep their customers informed

To show their consumers exactly where products come from, CPG leaders are starting to collaborate with data and tech brands on open blockchain. This disruptive technology allows consumers to see exactly how a product is made from start to finish and instills trust between the brand and customers who value transparency.

William Grant & Sons
The Scottish distillery William Grant & Sons teamed up with blockchain company Arc-net to release a line of blockchain-tracked whiskeys. Each whiskey contains a full record of the distilling and manufacturing process, ensuring authenticity and showcasing the brand's ethical production process.

Unilever
Consumer goods conglomerate Unilever partnered with location-data technology company Blis to pilot a platform that increases the accuracy of location and demographic data. This empowers advertisers to create more targeted ads with a better understanding of geographical data.

Nestlé
Nestlé collaborated with OpenSC to pilot a blockchain platform accessible by anyone in the world, giving customers details on its milk and palm oil supply chains. The company also partnered with tech giant IBM and French retailer Carrefour to allow customers to track the journey of potato purée Mousline with a QR code scan.
