TakeCare Level 30 is a new program from the hotel chain that allows members to partner up and compete in group challenges to improve wellbeing and drive brand loyalty around Marriott's wellness culture

Building new habits is hard—especially around health and wellness. Even as self-care and exercise grow more popular, not all consumers though have the time to get into the habit. Now, in an effort to establish a community of wellness-driven travelers, hospitality brand Marriott Internatioal has released a brand-new public fitness initiative.

Modeled after its employee wellness program, TakeCare Level30 is an app that allows users to pair up and compete with each other, all in the name of forming a habit around exercise. Creating healthy competition, the app looks to motivate people to come together and compete in a variety of activities aimed at improving health and happiness. The app provides activities, self-care tips and even tasks that, when completed, reward the user with points toward Marriott products.

“It’s always better to have a friend or colleague you can rely on for encouragement when making any kind of change,” said Leah Evert, global director of associate wellbeing at Marriott International, in a press release. “We developed the app with the notion that it takes 30 days to build a habit. The activities within the app are tied to personal wellbeing, connecting with others, and caring for the environment.”

The brand is hoping to improve the lives of users in just 30 days to promote healthy bodies and minds, establishing a supportive community along the way. Both associates and members of the public are invited to join the program.
