New York Fashion Week attracts its fair share of high-end, exclusive pop-ups, but one very unlikely brand crashed the party with a delightfully fun activation last weekend. Cheetos—yes, that Cheetos—gave itself a high-fashion makeover just in time for NYFW, treating its fans to cosmetic treatments inspired by the little orange snacks.
Open by appointment only in the New York City neighborhood of Chelsea, House of Flamin' Haute treated guests to a truly immersive experience. Services included makeup, hair and nails, each with perfectly on-brand names like Cheetah Tail Braids, Fiery Flamin' Hot Eyes, Chester's Ombre Kiss and Caught Snacking Nails. After their appointments, each guest could show off their new look in front of branded photo-ops.
Elsewhere, custom cocktails and a mix-and-match Cheetos bar made the pop-up feel even more like a beauty-focused playground. House of Flamin' Haute also played host to the brand's very own fashion show, a tongue-in-cheek addition to the stacked NYFW schedule.
In the past, Cheetos also opened full-service restaurants in Los Angeles and New York. The beauty pop-up is closed for now, but somewhere out there, a few stylish New Yorkers still have cheetah spots in their hair and flames on their nails. Being covered in Cheetos dust has never been so chic.
