The Sound Affect takes London visitors through a five-room immersive experience that highlights the duo's speaker partnership

To celebrate the release of their brand-new product collaboration, IKEA and Sonos are inviting adventurous visitors on a surreal trip through light and color, powered by live performance.

Inspired by Symfonisk, a combination speaker and lamp, The Sound Affect is a walkthrough experience in London that takes participants through five rooms designed as different parts of the brain. The show, of course, is powered by Symfonisk speakers and aims to help visitors “lose themselves in a multi-sensory narrative led by sound,” according to the event's description.

Running for four days in late September, the free show will be guided by members of the Les Enfants Terribles theater troupe. And for those customers who might want to sit the ticketed performance out, IKEA and Sonos will have a café and bar open to the public, also outfitted with the new speakers. If all goes according to plan, both brands will cast a new light on sound.
