Amazon and Google voice assistants can now connect their users with jobs at McDonald's, thanks to a new tech rollout by the restaurant chain

Alexa can already check the weather, set alarms and even control the lights. And now because of a new collaboration with McDonald's, Amazon's voice assistant is getting even more helpful. With a simple question, users can now easily apply to jobs at the chain restaurant.

The service, called Apply Thru, streamlines and simplifies the application process. All the applicants need to do is ask Alexa for help finding a job at McDonald's. Alexa then responds with a few basic questions, including name, job history and location preference to jumpstart the process. Next, applicants receive a text and link to complete the rest of the application online.

Apply Thru also works with connected Google devices, making it even more accessible. The initiative is part of the fast-food chain's Made at McDonald's hiring campaign, which showcases job opportunities and futures of the chain's employees. It's all as easy as saying, “Alexa, help me get a job at McDonalds.”
