In a collaboration between booth brand ROOM and meditation app Calm, a new product allows workers to practice mindfulness in the office

Burnout and anxiety are growing problems for the workforce. A Gallup study from last year confirms as much: 23% of employees report feeling burned out often or always, and an additional 44% say they feel it sometimes. A new collaboration from two unlikely partners is aiming to relieve some of that burden with a booth designed specifically for meditation.

Office privacy pod company ROOM specializes in soundproof booths meant for taking calls or completing intense work. Now, the brand has tapped meditation app Calm to partner on a limited-edition version of their flagship product called the Calm Booth.

The single-person pod focuses on the importance of workplace mindfulness and re-energizes employees with smart design. Behind a frosted glass door, soft lighting and walls decorated like a misty forest make users feel like they're miles from the office. Each Calm Booth comes with 12 subscriptions to the meditation app, which helps people make the most of their time in the room.

As work becomes more and more demanding and tech-focused, the Calm Booth is a way to escape the demands of the world and instead turn focus inward. Expect more products like these to enter the market in the coming months and years.
