Discount retail center Tanger Outlets is elevating the deal-finding  shopping experience—and doing it 2020-style. Enabling remote yet still highly personalized shopping, Tanger created a virtual concierge service that lets consumers browse from the comfort of home, then have on-premise shoppers peruse the outlets for them.

Online customers fill out a form with their basic information including preferred brands, styles and colors they like in order to help the virtual shoppers better understand their personal style. Customers can also upload pictures for style inspiration and share their favorite must-have looks and brands with the virtual shopper. After a scheduled appointment, the virtual shopper either selects a specific item or will browse and find a style that matches the consumer's preferences. All items are then available for delivery or curbside pickup, allowing customers to stay home or in the comfort of their vehicle.
