Amazon Studios, the retail giant's television and film subsidiary, and Blumhouse Productions, the production company behind Get Out and The Purge, have created Welcome to the Blumhouse Live, an online experience that invites consumers to inhabit the worlds of four Blumhouse films available on Amazon Prime Video: Nocturne, Black Box, Evil Eye and The Lie.
The free virtual event guides viewers through ten interactive rooms, each of which teases a plot line from one of the featured films and invites participants to help solve a mystery. This activation immerses consumers in the world of the films, giving them an opportunity to become invested, through the interactive components of the experience, in their stories.
In addition to this evergreen component, Welcome to the Blumhouse Live also featured a series of live streamed events earlier in October—concerts, guest DJ sets, live tarot card readings, an escape room and a mixology lesson. Featuring much-loved celebrities like QuestLove and Ludacris, this event series provided the opportunity for fans to develop a powerful emotional connection with the studios.
