Pharrell's Sustainable, Inclusive Skincare Line Reduces, Reuses and Recycles
These skincare products offer earth-friendly wellness, emphasizing sustainability every step of the way
Created by musician, producer, and entrepreneur Pharrell Williams, Humanrace is a skincare company that focuses on environmental and social impact. Products are made from vegan and cruelty-free ingredients and packaged in reusable containers made from 50% post-consumer recycled landfill plastic. To reduce waste, these containers can be replenished with recyclable refill cartons.
In addition to emphasizing sustainability, Humanrace also strives for inclusivity. The company's three skincare products—Rice Powder Cleanser, Lotus Enzyme Exfoliator, and Humidifying Cream, sold separately or together as the Three-Minute Facial Routine Pack—are made to be used by consumers of all genders, races, and skin types. The reusable containers also have product names printed in braille, to make them accessible for people who are visually impaired.
“Guided by experiences from his own wellness journey, Pharrell created Humanrace in the belief that taking better care of ourselves can teach us to take better care of each other,” the site explains. ” …We believe that wellbeing is our most valuable resource, and are working to create a future where it is accessible to everyone.”
