Matt is the co-founder of General Assembly (http://ga.co), a global 21st century educational institution providing skills, jobs, and career-changing opportunities to individuals all over the world, where he supports GA's global efforts around social impact, alumni community engagement, and partnership development. He launched GA's philanthropic arm, Opportunity Fund, so that anyone willing to work hard and follow their passions can have a meaningful career pursuing work they love. He is also the co-founder of Daybreaker (http://daybreaker.com), a global community and lifestyle brand producing conscious transformational experiences around the world. What began as a social experiment and art project to create a healthy morning dance party, Daybreaker now aims to create an entirely new genre of experience, fueling a worldwide movement to increase wellness, self-expression, community, mindfulness, and mischief. Prior to all this, he consulted on digital education strategy for Yale, freelanced in web design, worked for Apple as a campus rep, and served frozen yogurt. In college he founded two startups, one building team-based games powered by rivalries (PickTeams), and another curating and selling antique furniture (Aloysius Properties), both of which proved to be more educational than profitable.
