Jeff is the founder and CEO of Acorns, a mobile application that allows people to invest their spare change. Previously at Lewis & Clark College, Jeff discovered that many of his classmates and friends were interested in investing their money, but often lacked the necessary funds to meet initial account minimums. He created Acorns as a way to let young people invest small amounts of money without any minimum balances or paying commissions. Acorns pairs with a credit card, and as purchases are made throughout the day Acorns rounds up the transactions to the nearest dollar and invests the spare change into a choice of five portfolios of varying risk.
