Shivani is the Founder and CEO of Inventure, a company providing offline and “un-banked” people in emerging markets with credit scores, accounting tools and access to reliable lending infrastructures through their basic mobile phone interfaces. By accessing over 10,000 data points and updating credit scores in real time, Inventure is able to provide micro loans to consumers when they need them almost exclusively within an hour (in Africa). Shivani also sits on the board of the LA Chapter of Young Women Social Entrepreneurs. Prior to founding Inventure, she worked in health costing at UNFPA and Mergers & Acquisitions at Health Net and Citigroup. She is a 2013 TED Fellow, 2011 Echoing Green Fellow and 2011 Unreasonable Institute Fellow. She received her M.P.H from Columbia University and a B.A from Wesleyan University.
