Kayak, one of our favorite travel sites, is asking for help from the users as they try to catalog each and every hotel in the world. There are an estimated 300,000 hotels in the world. An email from Kayak says:

Everyone needs a goal and ours is to be the most comprehensive travel site on the web. There are an estimated 300,000 hotels worldwide, yet only a fraction are available on travel websites.
