The Future Of 3G

An article in the Independent newspaper looks at the different opinions about 3G technology in phones at a time when uptake of new phones seems to be stalling yet marketing budgets are increasing. The article suggests that the real business case for 3G may actually change as we see demand for 3G services that were not expected. We particularly subscribe to the thinking behind this comment given by a tech consultant John Delaney:

“Just because 3G networks can do video calling doesn’t mean it’s actually something people want to do.”
