Nike+ Supersonic: Run Hard to Play Hard

Nike is throwing a party, but tickets are going fast. Or rather, tickets are going to the fastest.

Nike+ Supersonic is an invitation-only race featuring live DJs, athletes, and Nike gear, to take place at a secret London location on November 17. To secure an invitation to this exclusive event, runners must compete in one of four qualifying races (the first is this Friday, Oct. 12). Only the fastest 1,000 will run Nike+ Supersonic, and only 2,000 of their friends will get to join the party. So there are two ways to get in: run fast, or keep fast company.

Instead of a simple microsite, Nike has built an online community to support the event: www.NikeSupersonic.com redirects to a MySpace page, very well designed with a nice degree of interactivity.
