Coming Soon: Solar-Powered iPods

Apple has just filed patents for the application of layering solar panels into portable devices. Seemingly transparent, the panels look as if they’ll be applied underneath both a glass-topped case and LCD screen. This sort of technology could become more prevalent with the advent of more devices moving into battery-draining 3G territory…which is a nice thing, as the sun hasn’t yet begun to charge us.
