In Bremerhaven, Germany, diners at the new restaurant Geschmackslabor (German for ‘Flavor Lab’) are adding their own Emeril-style “BAM!” to their meals. While the restaurant’s dishes are made ready-to-eat, patrons can choose from up to 20 specially-concocted flavorings to add a bit of zest to their dish and experiment with new pairings. The flavorings (contained in small vials) are made from pure olive oil, infused to create a wide range of gastronomical essences (ranging from rosemary to coconut to coffee). The menu includes the chef’s recommendations of which oils to add to which dishes, but diners are encouraged to come up with their own combinations. Oils can also be purchased on their own for less than 6 Euros/100ml.

Haha, I am German and will have to try that when I am back home. Not sure how long the concept will last but it sounds fun. :)
