New Fashion Accessory: The Custom Bike

By Dave Pinter on August 22, 2008

Some clothing labels have been selling bikes for a while. These have mainly been big brands like Puma or G-Star Raw. There are signs that the trend is expanding to smaller labels. James Perse is now offering a limited edition vintage-style beach cruiser. The bike is an updated take on the 50′s and 60′s classic beach cruisers that featured wide handlebars and fat tires. The Perse model incorporates some custom billet aluminum components, a hand-aged leather seat and grips, and of course a coaster brake. The bike comes in four color choices ranging from flat black(shown above) to dark orange.

The bikes will be sold exclusively at Perse boutiques for a mere $2,200.
