We’ve covered video game orchestras beforeVideo Games Live, the successful orchestra that performs music from popular video games has been selling out venues for the last several years.  But, it seems they’re not the only orchestra paying homage to video game’s heyday.  C64 is a unique orchestra that focuses on music made specifically on the Commodore 64 – the ground breaking computer of the 80s.

Current TV has an interesting pod speaking with one of the original game composers as well as the conductor who’s breathing new life into the bleeps of the past.  Interesting to hear how they were able to isolate the original 12 channels and then delegate that one sound to player how can then build upon it and give it more complexity.
