Uniqlo have a new exhibition in the space normally reserved for mannequins. Well, in fact they haven’t done away with the mannequins – they’ve just shrunk them down to a tiny size and put their latest range of clothes on them. There weren’t many details when we popped into the store last night as they were putting the finishing touches to this exhibition but we guess this has something to do with the Japanese retailer’s Designers Invitation Project. (We’ll update this page when we find out more).

So, as you can see – there’s an optical trick at play here. The glass makes you think that it’s magnifying something tiny behind it – when in fact the item behind the glass is larger than how it appears. That probably helped a lot when it came to making the clothes…. :)
