How many solar panels would it take to power the entire planet? Gizmodo has produced an infographic which shows that 496,805 square kilometers of surface area would do the trick. Although that’s a relatively small area (less than the surface of Spain), the graphic displays recommended areas to distribute these collection points around the globe based on use and weather conditions.
