There are at least 4 billion RFID tags in the world according to BERG, and recent experiments by the design consultancy have aimed to visualize the hidden fields produced by the technology.

In Immaterials: The ghost in the field, a film by Jack Schulze of BERG and Timo Arnall of the Touch project, they visually map out the invisible fields produced by RFID readers to better understand the technology and explore how to utilize such hidden data flows in creating products, services and spaces.
