(Pics) The Underground House With Spectacular Views
In Vals, Switzerland, SeARCH and Christian Müller Architects have created an amazing house tucked into the side of a mountain.
The site of the house is located close to close to the famous thermal baths of Vals, which presented a challenge to the architects in figuring out how not to disturb the view of the surrounding mountains.
This situation was resolved by building into the ground – and by cutting out a large patio into the hillside, a large facade was created which provides ample area to allow light in.
