(Pics) Portable Micro-Housing

By Dan Gould on March 24, 2010

Inspired by the Shelter-in-a-cart competition, inventor Paul Elkins created his own deluxe interpretation of the concept.

Elkins’ version features a sink, one burner stove, basic toilet, sleep-work area and decent storage capacity. The shelter is water tight, insulated and also incorporates a water collection and filtration system.

Though Elkins’ design is perhaps too robust for wide distribution, it does provide an interesting model for a micro-camper or extreme minimalist housing.
