We’re launching a new series of short video spots featuring people and companies producing innovative, exemplary work.

To kick the series off, we sat down with Leon Ransmeier, creative director at design firm DBA, and asked him about redesigning the disposable pen and developing unique products that combine aesthetic strength with ecologically effective principles.

The DBA Pen is 98% biodegradable, and made out of a bio-plastic derived from non-GMO potatoes. The manufacturing process is also ecologically sustainable. DBA Pens are made locally by a factory  powered by an on-site wind turbine, and equipped with highly energy efficient machines.
