Clean The World: Recycling Soap And Saving Lives

Clean The World: Recycling Soap And Saving Lives
Innovation

An organization saves lives and prevents environment pollution by recycling an oft-neglected commodity.

Clean The World is a non-profit charity organization that collects left over soaps from hotels and donates them to be distributed among impoverished people around the world.

In America, hotels discard millions of pounds of soap and shampoo everyday which often end up in landfills and contaminate groundwater systems. At the same time, thousands of people around the world die every day from diarrheal diseases because they don’t have soaps to wash their hands. Clean The World brought together several hotels and volunteers to collect the partially used soaps, recycle them and donate them to NGOs working in underdeveloped nations.
