Walmart has announced that the company will use wind energy to bring power to its 348 self-services stores, pricing clubs, and restaurants in Mexico City, state of Mexico and Morelos. The energy will come from the Oaxaca I Lamatalaventosa Wind Farm in Oaxaca. This will enable Walmart de México y Centroamérica to meet its objective of having 100% of its units operate with renewable energy sourced by 2025.
