A Moss Covered Vending Machine

A Moss Covered Vending Machine

By Yofred Moik on June 24, 2010

Japan’s obsession with vending machines and unusual inventions, combined with the growing eco movement, has yielded an atypical design solution from a vending machine manufacturer. This prototype from Fuji Electric is taking green vending to a whole new level. The vending machine is powered by solar panels located on top, which we’ve seen before. However, the sides are outfitted with moss to help with insulation during the winter seasons to improve energy conservation.
