Eco-Friendly Packaging Replaces PVC With Cardboard

Eco-Friendly Packaging Replaces PVC With Cardboard

By Yofred Moik on July 14, 2010

A tool brand for Sears, Evolv, has commissioned design firm Design Guys to design an eco-conscious package for their latest series of tools. The result is packaging which eliminates PVC use by getting rid of the clamshell and blister pack style container, and replacing it with recycle-friendly corrugated cardboard. The packaging is also appealing to many distributors because it can be easily produced by every vendor regardless of manufacturing technology capacity. We are excited to see what lies next for cardboard packaging – perhaps the next iteration of Evolv packaging features foldable seams that turns itself into a semi-permanent toolbox.
