The Museum of Modern Art in Bologna is host to an awe-inspiring installation made entirely from books. Named The Scanner, it was created by Slovakian artist Matej Krén. Scanner stands like a tower made of thin multicolored bricks and only when viewed closely does one realize that these are actually books numbering in the thousands. The tower has an opening in the form of a tunnel with mirrors inside that creates an illusion of an unlimited number of books.
