A new tool currently running in BETA form tracks the movement of the infinite number of mobile restaurants driving across the city today.
A collective sigh has just swept through the city of New York with the welcome addition of an online food spotting service announced today by Zagat. This new tool currently running in BETA form tracks the movement of the infinite number of food trucks driving across the city today. With 29 trucks currently listed, users can filter by cuisine, picking from a range including Korean BBQ, Steakhouse, Belgian and Taiwanese with cult stars including The Big Gay Ice Cream Truck, Souvlaki Truck and Pizza Moto. Almost all businesses are present on Twitter, but this portal into their actual location cuts down the search time when the belly is rumbling hard.
Integrating Google Maps and including Facebook and Twitter buttons, the site currently lives at foodtrucks.zagat.com, an offshoot of the main Zagat website and further allows users to not only search for their favorites but consider the Top Food Rated trucks alphabetically, adding for further ease for your eating pleasure.
The site was designed by creative data visualization agency JESS3.
