Customers have a new shipping option that will potentially minimize the excess packaging wasted on products.

Amazon has added a new shipping option in its delivery service-the AmazonTote, a free weekly delivery service that offers a reusable, weather-resistant bag as packaging. Customers in the Seattle area can simply choose the “Ship Free with AmazonTote” delivery option on the product and have Amazon deliver it in the tote bag up to two times a week. Users can keep the bag or leave it on their doorstep for Amazon to pick it up on their next delivery day, which means, they can now return items free of charge.

The AmazonTote has no minimum delivery sizes or subscriptions and allows customers to keep adding items to their tote bag until 2 days before the delivery day.
