Real-Time Parking Space Management System In China

Real-Time Parking Space Management System In China

By Naresh Kumar on January 27, 2011

In order to curb the growing problem of the lack of local parking spaces, the Beijing suburb of Balizhuang has introduced a real time parking space guidance system called Nestca. The web application makes use of the fact that a large number of parking spaces are left vacant by the local owners who drive out for work which could be used by people driving into the town.

Nestca connects these commuters to the parking owners and provides them a digital map that highlights the rental parking slot’s location in a user-friendly interface that allows them to search by locality or rent.
