Last week, Google announced some new ways of searching and faster results on the search engine for your desktop. Voice search lets users tell their computer what they are looking for by simply clicking the microphone icon in the search box and and speaking into the built-in or external mic.
Search by Image is another new way to find results. From images.google.com you can click the camera icon in the search box and upload a picture, paste the URL of an image from the web, or drag and drop pictures from websites or your computer. Chrome and Firefox extensions are available for even faster image searching.
Google’s Instant Pages aims to make searching quicker than ever. Available for Chrome, it preloads the first search result in the list when it can be confident it’s what you are looking for, so when you click on it the page loads instantly.
