A day after suspending its Real Time Search Feature, Google revealed that its 2009 deal with Twitter to gather information from the ‘Twitter firehose’ has expired and will not be renewed. Google+ is slated to take Twitter’s place as a ‘home-built’ source of real-time information. In light of all the hype and information released about the potential of Google+, is it addictive and convenient enough to overtake Twitter as the go-to source for real-time user-generated information?
