Campers and rowing enthusiasts are always on the lookout for canoes that are sturdy yet lightweight, but a foldable canoe has still been unheard of. That was until Tsor Industrial Design’s Ori Levin creates a working prototype of a canoe that can be folded into a backpack.
Aptly named the “Ad Hoc,” the canoe weighs in at only 4.1 kg and is made of carbon fiber and aramid, a strong, light, and heat-resistant synthetic fiber used in racing sails.
