A fleet of thirty bicycles specially customized by top designers of New York City will make their way in time for Fashion Week on September 8-15th. Manufactured in New York by Bowery Lane Bicycles, the designer bikes will be available for fashion and biking enthusiasts alike to borrow for free (with a security deposit) to try out in the vicinity of various shows. Among the designers that participated in the initiative are Diane von Furstenberg, Betsey Johnson, Isaac Mizrahi, Nicole Miller, Elie Tahari, Nanette Lepore, Rebecca Minkoff, Carlos Falchi, and Prabal Gurung.
