The following social media infographic provides some interesting and useful insights into the world of social media in the last five years. More importantly, it shows just how powerful Facebook is, with more unique daily visitors than Twitter, Flickr, LinkedIn and StumbleUpon combined. In fact, if Facebook were a country, it would be the world’s third largest country (about two times the size of the current U.S. population). More and more companies are also engaging consumers using social media, with 71% of companies preferring to use Facebook, over Twitter (59%), YouTube (33%) and blogs (43%).
